Baltimore   State of Maryland Baltimore City Sc:
I hereby certify that Daniel E Myers Esquire before whom the annexed
acknowledgments were made and who has thereto subscribed his name
was at the time of so doing a justice of the peace of the State of Maryland
in and for the city of Baltimore duly commissioned and sworn
                                     In testimony whereof I hereto set my hand
                                     and affix the seal of the Superior Court
                                     of Baltimore City this 18th day of February
                                     A. D. 1859

Know all men by these presents that I Henry G
Brown of Baltimore City State of Maryland
for and in consideration of the sum of six hundred
                         dollars lawful money of the United States to me in hand paid by
                         Samuel Brown of Howard County state of Maryland at or
                         before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof
                         is hereby acknowledged.  Have granted bargained and sold
                         and by these presents do grant bargain and sell unto the said
                         Samuel Brown his executors administrators and assigns my negro
                         boy Isaac Sperden to serve until the third day of June Eighteen hundred
                         and eighty three [1883] when he will be free   To have and to hold the
                         said described negro boy Isaac to the said Samuel Brown his
                         Executors Administrators and assigns.  And I the said Henry G
                         Brown for myself heirs executors and administrators the said negro
                         boy Isaac unto the said Samuel Brown his Executors, Administrators
                         and assigns against me the said Henry G. Brown my Executors
                         and administrators and against all and every other person or persons
                         whomsoever shall and will warrant and forever defend by these
                         presents.         In witness whereof we have hereunto set our hands
                         and seals this first day of March Eighteen hundred and fifty
                         nine.  signed sealed & delivered
