Howard County to wit:
On this sixteenth day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand
eight hundred and fifty nine before the subscriber one of the state
of Maryland's Justices of the peace in and for said county appear
Joseph R Winbigler and makes oath that he will faithfully and
honestly serve in the office of constable for the second Election District
of Howard County and will well and truly according to his
power skill and judgment perform and execute the duties belonging
to the office of constable so long as he shall continue in said office
and that he will to the best of his ability perform all the duties
required of him by the act relating to negroes and to repeal the
acts of Assembly therein mentioned and the several supplements thereto
without favor, affection or partiality

I William A. Loder a Justice of the Peace of the state of Maryland
in and for the County of Howard do hereby certify that Nathan
C Brooks and John J. Mayfield subscribing witnesses to the
within bond do make oath according to law that the obligors
mentioned in the said bond did severally in our presence sign seal
and deliver the said bond as their act and deed for the purposes
therein mentioned.  Given under my hand and seal this sixteenth
day of February in the year 1859

Know all men by these presents.  That
we William H Harison Wm Allen all of
Howard County and state of Maryland
are held and firmly bound unto the State
of Maryland in the full and just sum of two thousand dollars
current money to be paid to the state of Maryland:  to the which
payment well and truly to be made and done we bind ourselves
our heirs executors administrators.  Jointly and severally firmly
by these presents sealed with our seals and dated this first
day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred
and fifty nine
The condition of the above obligation is such that if the above
bounden William H Harrison appointed a constable in the
second Election District of Howard County shall well
and faithfully execute the same office in all things
