Richard Edwards
    Bill of Sale to
W.m S. Sherman & co
Know all men by these presents that I
Richard Edwards of the City of Baltimore
and state of maryland for and in consideration
of the sum of Fifteen hundred dollars
to me paid by William S. Sherman & co of Baltimore do hereby bargain
and sell and convey unto the said William S Sherman & co all the
press types, fixtures, subscriptions, advertisements good will &
also one large hand Press one small Hand Press one hundred lbs
nonpareil type together with all the type & counter with and belonging
to the said establishment known as the Rurrel Souhernor
situated at Ellicotts Mills on Main Street in the building known
as the Odd Fellows Hall; To have and to hold the said type Press
fixtures unto the said William S. Sherman & to their heirs and
assigns forever
                        Witness my hand and seal this the twentieth day

    I hereby certify that on the twentieth day of May 1858 personally
appeared before the subscriber a Justice of the Peace for the city
aforesaid Richard Edwards and acknowledged the foregoing
bill of sale to be his act
                   And at the same time appeared before me William
S Sherman one of the grantees named in the said Bill of Sale
and made oath that the consideration set forth in said bill of
Sale is true and bona fide as therein set forth

I Joseph Johnson of the city of Baltimore in
the state of Maryland in consideration of the
sum of six hundred and ninety eight dollars
paid me by Rebecca Maloney of Howard
                          County in the state of Maryland aforesaid do hereby bargain
                          and sell to the said Rebecca Maloney her heirs executors administrators
                          and assigns the following named property viz:
                          four augers one Mattock chissels and sundry tools hand
                          and wood saw two hammers and hatchet a lot of old iron
                          Sleigh and bells four cow chains one dog chain breast
