State of Maryland in consideration of the sum of
one hundred and seventy five dollars (175) paid
me by Joseph Hunt of the county and state aforesaid
                  do hereby bargain and sell to the said to the said Joseph
                  Hunt the following property to wit   1 Sofa 1 Milaction ½ doz
                  mahogany chairs 1 marble top Sofa Table 1 mahogany Bookcase
                  100 volumes Books 1 Bedstead & Bedding 1 mahogany dressing Bureau
                  ½ doz cane seat chairs & 1 Rocking chair ½ doz wood seat do 3
                  sets venetion Blinds, 1 Carpet on sitting room floor 1 Kitchen table
                  1 Large looking Glass 1 Picture of Washington 1 do of Patrick
                  Henry 1 do of Balt & Ohio R. Q. Linney, 1 Lot of kitchen ware, 1 set
                  of china 1 Picture of Ashland, 1 Lounge, 2 Leather traveling
                  Trunks & 1 Lot of Bedding and quilst
                                   Witness my hand and seal this twenty fourth day of
                  July Eighteen hundred and fifty eight

                      I Hereby certify that on this twenty fourth day of July Eighteen
                  hundred and fifty eight personally appeared before the
                  subscriber a Justice of the Peace for Howard County aforesaid
                  John Schofield and acknowledged the foregoing bill of sale to be
                  his act.  And also at the same time appeared before me Joseph
                  Hunt the grantee and made oath in due form of law that the consideration
                  therein named is true and bona fida
                  I hereby release the above Bill of                 Acknowledged & sworn before
