sell to the said Harriet Leeke the following property to wit: one spotted or milk & cider colored Cow; one red and white yearling; two shoats; a lot of wood for Chair-making; one Lathe & Lot of Tools; four Tables, four Bedsteads & bedding a lot of Cooking Utensils; ten Chairs; four rocking do; one eight-day Clock; one looking Glass; one lot of garden utensils; one Sleigh; one Lot of Poultry & Lot of Books Witness my hand and seal this twenty eighth day of October Eighteen hundred and fifty seven Test: Benjamin Leeke (seal) John Ridgely (of Jno) State of Maryland Howard County to wit: I hereby certify that on this twenty eight day of October Eighteen hundred and fifty seven personally appeared before the subscriber a Justice of the Peace for Howard County aforesaid Benjamin Leeke and acknowledged the foregoing Bill of Sale to be his act John Ridgely (of Jno) Justice of the Peace for H County State of Maryland Howard County to wit: I hereby Certify that on this twenty eight day of October Eighteen hundred and fifty seven personally appeared before the subscriber a Justice of the Peace for Howard County aforesaid Harriet Leeke and made oath in due form of law that the consideration set forth in the within & aforegoing bill of sale is true and bona fide John Ridgely (of Jno) Justice of the Peace for How.d County Rec.d to be recorded on the 29.th day of October 1857 same day recorded & Examined per W.
