to wit: one Sorrel Mare about nine years old; and all my Crop of Tobacco which is now in two houses on my premises all which said property is now in my possession and I hereby covenant that the said Jesse Paten Todd may at any time hereafter enter upon my premises and seize take and convey away any and all the said property above described without any hindrance or interruption by me or by any other person through my procurement Witness my hand and seal this sixth day of December Eighteen hundred & fifty six Witness his Reuben Warfield Charles x Pickett (seal) mark State of Maryland Howard County to wit: I hereby certify that on this sixth day of December Eighteen hundred and fifty six before the subscriber a Justice of the Peace for said County personally appeared Charles Pickett and acknowledged the foregoing Bill of Sale to be his act Reuben Warfield J.
