we the said Enock G. Thompson and Enock S. Brown
Executors aforesaid for themselves their heirs executors and
administrators the said Negro Boy Charles unto the said
Evan Hughes his Executors administrators and assigns
against them the said Enock S Brown and Enock G. Thompson
their executors and administrators and against all and every
other person or persons whatsoever shall and will warrant
and forever defend by these presents      In witness whereof
we have hereunto set our hands and seals this second day of
December Eighteen hundred and fifty six

    in the presence of                      Enock S. Brown   (seal)
       Ignatius Waters J. P.              Evan Hughes         (seal)
    Howard County SS.

             Be it remembered that on this second day of December
1856 before the subscriber a Justice of the Peace for said
appears Enoch G Thompson Enock S Brown and Evan
Hughes and acknowledge the above Instrument of writing to
be their act and deed according to the true intent and meaning
thereof.   And at the same time appeared before me Evan
Hughes the grantee in the said Bill of Sale named and made
oath that the consideration set forth in said Bill of sale is
true and bona fide as therein set forth

Howard County to wit:
       I hereby certify that George
Wheeler of Howard County brought
before me the subscriber one of the Justices of the peace in and
for the said County this 27.th day of Nov.r in the year one
thousand eight hundred and fifty six as a stray trespassing
upon his enclosures a white and black spotted brown Hog
two years old left ear croped with an underbit and a slit
in the right
                         Given under my hand
                                                       C. W. Manght J. P.

To W. H. Worthington
    Clerk of Howard County Court
             The owner of the above described Hog is requested to prove
property pay charges and take him away
