any such dues, legacies, sums of money or other demands whatever
acquittances, or other sufficient discharges for us and in our
names to make and give.  And generally ^to^ do all other acts and
things in the law whatsoever needful and necessary to be done
in and about the premises for us and in our names to do
execute and perform as fully and to all intents and purposes
as we ourselves might or could do if personally present
and an attorney under him for the purposes aforesaid to make
constitute and again at pleasure to revoke hereby ratifying
and confirming all and whatsoever our said Attorney shall
lawfully do in and about the premises by virtue hereof
In Witness whereof we have hereunto set our hands and
seals this 24th day of May 1853

             Be it remembered that on this 8th day of June A. D.
1855 before us Justices of the Peace within and for the County and
State aforesaid personally appeared William H. Edmon^d^ston
George W. Edmondston and Jerusha Edmondston to us known
to be the individuals named in and who executed the foregoing
power of attorney and acknowledged that they executed
the same and that the same is their act and deed for the
uses and purposes therein contained
       Given under our hands and seals the day and year above
written

       I Thomas B. Harris Clerk of of the County Court in
and for said County do certify that Franklin Burt and
Caster T. Craig whose genuine signatures appear to the
foregoing certificate of acknowledgment are and were at the
time of signing the same acting Justices of the Peace within
and for said County duly Commissioned and qualified as the
law directs and all their official acts are entitled to full
faith and credit
