174 whatsoever shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents; of all and singular which said good and chattles and other premises I the said Samuel Beasman have put the said Rebecca Beasman in full possesion by delivering to her the said Rebecca Beasman one horse at the sealing and delivering of these presents in the name of the whole premises hereby bargained and sold or mentioned and intended to be so unto her the said Rebecca Beasman as aforesaid In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this twenty sixth day of may in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty six Witness his W.m H. Harison Samuel x Beasman (seal) mark State of Maryland Howard county to wit Be it remembered and it is hereby that on this twenty sixth day of May 1856 personally appeared before the subscriber one of the Justices of the Peace of the state of Maryland in and for Howard county Samuel Beasman he being known to me to be the party as and professing to be the party grantor mentioned in this indenture and acknowledged the same to be his act and deed according to the true intent and meaning thereof at the same time came Rebecca Beasman and made oath on the Holy Evangely of Almighty God that the consideration money therein set forth is true and bona fide as therein stated Acknowledged before M.cLane Brown Received to be recorded on the 27.th day of may 1856 same day recorded and examined per W.
