17 current money to me in hand paid by John W. Whiteside of Prince George County in the said State at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof I the said Geo W Waters do hereby acknowledge have granted bargained and sold and by these presents do grant bargain and sell unto the said John W. Whiteside his executors administrators and assigns all the goods or household furniture hereinafter mentioned; that is to say; one dozen chairs, two stoves three tables, two beds, two bedsteads, two washstands, and ten carpets all and singular which said furniture is now remaining standing and being in a certain house situate at Savage and now in the occupation of the said Geo. W. Waters. To have and to hold all and singular the said furniture above bargained and sold or mentioned and intended so to be to the said John W. Whiteside his executors administrators and assigns forever and I the said Geo. W. Waters for myself my heirs executors and administrators all and singular the said furniture unto the said John W. Whiteside his executors administrators and assigns against me the said Geo. W. Waters my executors and administrators and against all and every other person or persons whatsoever shall and will warrant & forever defend by these presents of all and singular which said furniture I the said Geo. W. Waters have put the said John W. Whiteside ^in full possession by delivering to him^ one chair at the sealing and delivery of these presents in the name of the whole furniture hereby bargained and sold or mentioned and intended so to be unto the said Jno. W. Whiteside as aforesaid. In testimony whereof the said Geo. W. Waters has hereunto set his hand and seal this fourth day of March 1854 Signed Sealed and delivered in the presence G. W. Waters (seal) of his Asbury x Fisher mark J G Worthington Howard County March fourth 1854. Received from John. W. Whiteside the sum of one hundred and fifty two dollars being the consideration expressed to be paid in the foregoing instrument Witness G. W. Waters J. G.
