of the sum of one hundred and fifty dollars lawful money to him in hand paid by George R. Gaither Junior of the same place the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath bargained and sold assigns transferred and set over unto the said George R. Gaither Junior his executors administrators and assigns a negro woman Lucy aged about thirty years to serve for the term of six years from the first day of June 1855. To Have and To Hold the said Lucy and unto the said George R. Gaither Junior his executors administrators and assigns for and during the said term of six years accounting as aforesaid that is to say until the first day of June one thousand eight hundred and sixty one when she is to revert to and become the property of the said Caleb Dorsey and his representatives and it is hereby declared that the issue of said Lucy born before the said first day of June one thousand eight hundred and sixty one shall when and as they respecting attain the age of thirty years be free and discharged from slavery and bondage to all and every person and persons whomsoever. In witness whereof the said Caleb Dorsey of Caleb and George R. Gaither Junior have hereunto subscribed their Names and affixed their seals on this 28.th day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty six signed sealed & delivered in presence of Caleb Dorsey of C (seal) M.cLane Brown G.
