154 as and professing to be the party grantors to the aforegoing instrument of writing and severally acknowledged the same to be their respective act and deed the said Julia A. Chambers having signed and sealed the same out of the presence and hearing of her husband and she being examined by me out of such presence and hearing. Whether she doth freely and voluntarily execute and acknowledge the same without being induced to do so by fear or threats of or ill usage by her husband or through fear of his displeasure she declares and says that she does and at the same time personally appeared John W. Turner grantee named and made oath on the Holy Evangely of Almighty God that the consideration mentioned in said instrument of writing is true and bona fide as therein set forth. In testimony whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name on the date aforesaid Reuben Warfield Received to be recorded on the 17.th day of March 1856 same day recorded and examined per W. H. Worthington clk
of the county and state aforesaid of the other part witnesseth that whereas the said John Elder is justly indebted to his wife Rebecca Elder in the sum of three hundred dollars currant money which the said Rebecca Elder hath advanced to him the said John Elder out of and from her own ^private^ resourses and the said John Elder being desirous of indemnifying |
