153 do hereby acknowledge have granted bargained and sold and by these presents do grant bargain and sell unto the said John W. Turner his heirs and assigns one red cow one spotted cow, one sorrel mare (with white face) and one cart all and singular which said goods and chattels are now in the possession and occupation of the said Levi Chambers and Julia A. Chambers. To Have and To Hold all and singular the said cattle goods, chattels and property above bargained and sold or mentioned and intended hereby so to be unto the said John W. Turner his heirs executors administrators or assigns for ever; provided always and it is the true intent and meaning of these presents and of the said parties hereunto that if the said Levi Chambers or Julia A. Chambers or their executors or administrators do and shall well and truly pay and satisfy unto Abram England the said Judgment with interest and costs thereon as herein before set forth on or before the 23.d day of February 1857 then and from thenceforth these presents and every matter and thing therein contained shall cease and be utterly null and void any thing herein to the contrary thereof in any wise notwithstanding. In witness whereof the said Levi Chambers and Julia A. Chambers have hereto set their hands and seals on the date first herein written signed sealed and delivered in presence of me Levi Chambers (seal) The word "herein" on this page Julia A. Chambers (seal) being interlined Reuben Warfield State of Maryland Howard county to wit; on this 15.th day of March 1856 before me a justice of the peace of the state of maryland in and for said county personally appeared Levi Chambers and Julia A. Chambers his wife they being known by me to be the persons who are named and described |
