137 and seal this tenth day of March eighteen hundred and fifty six signed sealed and delivered in the presence of James M.cGowan (seal) Robert Cross Baltimore county Ss. Be it remembered that on this tenth day of March 1856 before the subscriber a Justice of the peace for said county appears James M.cGowan party grantor in the foregoing Bill of sale and acknowledges the above Instrument of writing to be his act and deed according to the true intent and meaning thereof and at the same time appeared before me Silas W. Conn the grantee in the said Bill of sale Named and Made oath that the consideration set forth in said Bill of sale is true and bona fide as therein set forth sworn before Robert Cross J. P. state of maryland Baltimore county to wit I hereby certify that Robert Cross Esq.r before whom the aforegoing acknowledgement was made and who has thereto subscribed his name was at the time of so doing a justice of the peace of the state of maryland in and for Baltimore county duly commissioned and sworn. In testimony whereof (seals) I have hereto subscribed my (Place) name and affixed the seal of circuit court for Baltimore county this Eleventh day of march Anno Domini Eighteen hundred and fifty six Henry M. Fitzhugh clk Circuit Court for Baltimore county Received on the aforegoing instrument of writing when presented for record one dollar in lieu of stamp under the act of 1846 ch 61. W. H.
