made and provided

and at the same time and place also appeared
before the subscriber Walter Griffith
grantee in said indenture or bill of sale and
made oath that the consideration set forth
in said bill of sale is true and bona fide
as therein set forth         Sam.l F. Simmons

writing when presented for record one
dollar in lieu of stamp under the act of

    Bill of sale to
J. Howard Talbott
 Know all men by these presents
that I Charles Talbott
of Howard County in the
state of maryland for and
in consideration of the sum of two hundred
and eighty dollars current money
to me in hand paid by Joseph Howard
Talbott of Howard county in the said
state at and before the sealing & delivery
of these presents the receipt whereof
I the said Cha.s Talbott do hereby acknowledge
have granted bargained
and sold and by these presents do
grant bargain and sell unto the said
J. Howard Talbott his executors administrators
and assigns all the stock and
goods hereinafter particularly mentioned
that is to say "one roan mare called Dove, one
spotted Mule called Poll, one red cow, one
brown cow, 4 carts, 4 setts of cart harness
and fifty barrels of corn all and singular
which said stock and chattels are now
remaining standing and being on a certain
farm none in the occupation of the
said Charles Talbott.  To Have and To Hold
all and singular the said stock and
goods and other the premises above
bargained and sold or mentioned and
