130 sold or mentioned and intended to be so unto ^him^ the said Washington Hamilton. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this eight day of february 1856 Witness Johnsey Lilley (seal) McLane Brown state of Maryland Howard County to wt Be it remembered that on this 8.th day of February 1856 before me the subscriber one of the Justices of the peace of the state of Maryland in and for Howard county personal appeared Johnsey Lilley and acknowledged the foregoing bill of sale or Instrument of writing to be his act and deed; and I certify the Johnsey Lilley is the person professing to make the same and at the same time came Washington Hamillton and Made oath the consideration therein expressed is true and bona fide Witness my hand McLane Brown Received to be recorded on the 8.th day of February 1856 at ½ past 3 o'clock P. M. same day recorded and examined per W. H. Worthington clk
five hundred dollars current money to me in hand paid by Walter Griffith of Montgomery county and state aforesaid at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof the said John G. Warfield do hereby acknowledge have granted bargained and sold and by these presents do grant bargain and sell unto the said Walter Griffith his executors administrators and assigns all the following property goods and chattels to wit one bay gelding twelve years old one bay mare four years old two cows three feather beds |
