Thos & Wm Mace      Be it remembered and it is hereby Certified that the following Mortgage Bill of  
    √   from   xd            Sale was received and recorded on the 6th day of February 1854 to wit:
Thomas Williams                        This Indenture made this 26.th day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand
                                   eight hundred and fifty four between Thomas Williams of the one part & Thos & Wm Mace
of the other part Whereas the said Thomas Williams owes and Stands Justly indebted to the said Thomas
& Wm Mace in the Sum of one hundred and Seventy dollars Current money and to secure the payment thereof
is willing to execute these presents Now this indenture witnesseth that the said Thomas Williams for and in
Consideration of the premises and the sum of five dollars Current money to him in hand paid by the said Thos
& Wm Mace at and before the sealing and deliver^in^g of these presents the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged
hath granted bargained and sold and by these presents doth grant bargain and sell unto the said
Thos Wm Mace their executors administrators and assigns all and singular the goods and Chattels hereinafter
particularly mentioned and expressed that is to say 1 Black mare Jet 1 Sorrel Horse Chester 1 bay
Colt Tom 1 large pair timber whells longe & axle tree 1 Cart 2 yoke oxen one named Bill & Tyler one Buck
& Tige 1 Red Cow pink 1 small timber Cart 1 wagon  To Have and To Hold all and singular the
said goods and Chattels unto the said Thos & Wm Mace their executors administrators and assigns to their
own use and behoof Provided always and it is declared to be the true intent and meaning of these presents
that if the said Thomas Williams do and shall well and truly pay or Cause to be paid unto the said Thos
& Wm Mace their executors administrators or assigns the full Sum of one hundred and Seventy dollars
Current money with legal interest for the Same on or before the first day of January in the year
one thousand eight hundred and fifty five then and in Such Case these presents and every matter and
thing herein Contained shall Cease determine and be utterly void to all intents and purposes any thing
herein Contained to the Contrary notwithstanding and the said Thomas Williams for himself his heirs
executors administrators or assigns and also that if default shall be made in the payment of the said sum of
one hundred and seventy dollars Current money and interest or any part thereof at the times or in the manner
aforesaid then and from thenceforth it shall and may be lawful to and for the said Thos & Wm Mace their
heirs and assigns to take into their possession the goods Chattels hereby granted and released or intended
to be so all and singular the goods Chattels To Have and to Hold to possess and enjoy the same to and
for the ^use and^ benefit of the said Thos & Wm Mace their heirs or assigns without any lawfull let or suit interruption
disturbances Claim or demand whatsoever of from or by the said Thos Williams his heirs or any other
person or persons whatsoever            In witness whereof I have hereto set my hand and seal this
twenty sixth day of January one thousand eight and fifty four                                       his

                                                                         On this 26th day of January 1854 before me the
Subscriber a Justice of the peace in and for sd County personally appeared Thomas Williams
and acknowledged his hand & seal the within Instrument of writing to be his act & deed the property
therein named and described in Such Case made & provided and also at the Same time personally
appeared William Mace one of the firm and makes oath on the Holy evangelist of almighty
God that the Consideration herein set forth is true and bona fide to the best of his Knowledge &

Received the 6th day of February 1854 from Thomas & Wm Mace the Sum of Two Cents in lieu of
a Stamp on this Mortgage Bill of Sale
