60 Consideration set forth in the foregoing Bill of sale is true and bona fide as therein set forth In testimony whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name on the day and year aforesaid W.m H. Bayzand State of Maryland Baltimore City, sct I hereby Certify that William H. Bayzand Esquire before whom the annexed acknowledgment & affidavit were made and who has thereto subscribed his name was at the time of of so doing a Justice of the Peace of the state of Maryland, in and for the City of Baltimore, duly Commissioned and sworn. [seal] In testimony whereof I hereto set my hand and affix the seal of the superior Court of Baltimore City, this 27th day of June A. D. 1853 (Received July 11.th 1853 of Samuel R. Dunnock the sum Edward Dowling of one dollar in lieu of a stamp on this Bill of sale Clerk of the superior Court of Baltimore City Francis J. Henry clk Samuel R. Dunnock Be it remembered and it is hereby Certified that the following Bill √ from xd of sale was received and recorded on the 11.th day of July 1853 to wit Joseph Weatherly Know all men by these presents that I Joseph Weatherly of Dorchester County and state of Maryland, for and in Consideration of the sum of Five thousand dollars Current money of Maryland to me in hand paid by Samuel R. Dunnock of the same County and state aforesaid, at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, and I the said Joseph Weatherly have bargained and sold, Conveyed and transferred ^and by these presents do bargain and sell convey and transfer^ unto the said Samuel R. Dunnock his heirs and assigns forever, the following negroes to wit: One negro man David, one ditto spencer, one ditto James, one ditto Gabriel, one ditto Dawes, one negro boy James, one ditto William, one ditto Moses, one ditto Jacob one ditto stephen; one negro woman Racheal, one ditto sarah; one child Jane, one ditto Racheal, one ditto Mary, slaves for life, and sound in body and in mind To Have and To Hold the said above named negroes unto the said Samuel ^R^ Dunnock his heirs & assigns forever, to his and their sole use and uses forever, and to and for no other use intent or purpose whatsoever, against me the said Joseph Weatherly and my heirs, and against all persons whatsoever, shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents In testimony whereof the said Joseph Weatherly has hereunto subscribed his name and affixed his seal this ninth day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty three Signed sealed and delivered In the presence of Joseph Weatherly (seal) D. W. Tyler State of Maryland Dorchester County Be it remembered and it is hereby Certified that on this ninth day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty three personally appeared Joseph Weatherly, party vendor named in the foregoing instrument of writing, before the subscriber one of the Justices of the peace for the County and state aforesaid and did acknowledge the same to be his act and deed, according to the true intent and meaning thereof, and delivered the same for the uses and purposes therein mentioned, And on the same day also personally appeared before me Samuel R. Dunnock the party vendee, named in the foregoing instrument of writing and made oath on the Holy Evangely of Almighty God, that the Consideration stated in the within and aforegoing Bill of sale is true and bona fide as therein set forth D.
