59 and assigns forever; And the said Levin Christopher for himself, his executors and administrators, all and singular the said Horses, Cattle, hogs, Household & Kitchen furniture by these presents granted, bargained and sold, and every part thereof unto the said Amelia S. Vincent her executors, administrators and assigns, against him the said Levin Christopher his executors, administrators, and against all and every other person and persons whatsoever, shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents In witness whereof, the said Levin Christopher hath hereto set his name and affixed his seal the day and date within written Signed sealed and delivered his in the presence of Levin x Christopher (seal) Charles Corkran mark Maryland, Dorchester County, to wit: On the twenty first day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and Fifty Three personally appeared before me, a Justice of the peace in and for said County, Levin Christopher party grantor and acknowledged the within and aforegoing bill of sale to be his act and deed, according to the purport, true intent and meaning of the same, and at the same time Came before me Amelia S. Vincent party grantee within mentioned, and made oath on the Holy Evangely of Almighty God, that the Consideration set forth in this mortgage bill of sale, is true and bona fide, as therein set forth, according to the true meaning of the Act of Assembly of 1846, Chapter 271, made and provided Acknowledged before Charles Corkran J. P. Samuel R. Dunnock Be it remembered and it is hereby Certified that the following Bill of sale √ from xd was received and recorded on the 11th day of July 1853 to wit John R. Dunnock Know all men by these presents that I John R. Dunnock of Dorchester County and state of Maryland, for and in Consideration of the sum of one thousand eight hundred dollars Current money of Maryland to me in hand paid by Samuel R. Dunnock of the same County and state aforesaid at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, and I the said John R. Dunnock have bargained and sold Conveyed and transferred and by these presents do bargain and sell, Convey and transfer unto the said Samuel R. Dunnock his heirs and assigns forever the following negroes to wit. One negro man John, one ditto Samuel, one ditto Edward, one negro boy Dane, one ditto William, one negro woman Levia one ditto Sam, one negro girl Ann slaves for life and sound in body and in mind; except, negro man Edward and negro woman Levia who are blind (To Have and To Hold the said above named negroes unto the said Samuel R. Dunnock his heirs and assigns forever, to his and their sole use and uses forever, and to and for no other use intent or purpose whatsoever against me the said John R. Dunnock and my heirs and against all persons whatsoever, shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents. In Testimony whereof the said John R. Dunnock has hereunto subscribed his name and affixed his seal this twenty seventh day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty three Signed sealed and delivered Jno R. Dunnock (seal) in the presence of W.m H. Bayzand State of Maryland City of Baltimore to wit Be it remembered and it is hereby Certified on this twenty seventh day of June 1853 before the subscriber a Justice of the peace for the said City appeared John R. Dunnock and acknowledged the foregoing Instrument of writing to be his act and Deed and now at the same time before me personally appeared also Samuel R.
