Hooper Be it remembered and it is hereby certified that the following Exd from √ 85 Bill of Sale was received and recorded on the 12th day of John Edmondson July 1852 to wit. Know all men by these presents, That James Hooper & others John Edmondson, James Hooper, Henry l Hooper, William Hooper, Mordecai Hooper, and Henry Creighton and Clarissa H. his Wife, John H. Hooper and Maryann his wife of the City of Baltimore, in the State of Maryland, for and in consideration of the sum of five Dollars lawful money of the United States, in hand paid by Mary S. Hooper of Dorchester County in the State of Maryland at or before the sealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, have granted, bargained and sold, and by these presents do grant, bargain and sell unto the said Mary S. Hooper her executors, administrators and assigns the following negroes to wit; negro Woman Nell and negro man Charles slaves for life: To Have and To Hold the said described negroes Nell and Charles to the said Mary S. Hooper, her executors, administrators, and assigns forever; and we the said John Edmondson, James Hooper, Henry L. Hooper, William Hooper, Mordica Hooper and Henry Creighton and Clarissa H. his wife and John H. Hooper and Mary Ann his wife, for ourselves, our heirs, executors and administrators, the said negroes Nell and Charles slaves for life unto the said Mary S. Hooper, her executors, administrators and assigns, against us the said John Edmondson, James Hooper, Henry L. Hooper, William Hooper, Mordica Hooper, and Henry Creighton and Clarisssa H his wife and John H.
