5 That we Emily Tyler Nancy Tyler and of Dorchester County in the State of Maryland for and in consideration of the sum of Two thousand Dollars Current money to us in hand paid by Henry Jefferson Bramble of Dorchester County in the State afforesaid at and before the sealing and delivering of thes presents the receipt whereof we the said Emely Tyler Nancy Tyler & do hereby acknowledge, have granted, bargained & sold, and by these presents do grant, bargain & sell unto the said Henry Jefferson Bramble, his executors administrators and assigns, certain negroes, slaves for life, (said negroes were inherited by us the said Emely Tyler Nancy Tyler & from our Grandfather Thomas Hurlock Dec.d) viz " negro man named Moses Perrington supposed to be be about years of age, negro man William Perrington supposed to be about years of age, negro man James Perrington supposed to be about years of age, negro Woman Hannah Perrington supposed to be about years of age, negro woman Eliza Perrington, supposed to be about years of age & infant child of said Eliza Perrington. To Have and To Hold, the said negroes Moses Perrington, William Perrington, James Perrington, Hannah Perrington & Eliza Perrington & child, above bargained and sold, or intended so to be, to the said Henry Jefferson Bramble his executors, administrators and assigns forever. And we the said Emely Tyler, Nancy Tyler, for ourselves, and heirs executors & administrators all and singular the said negroes namely Moses Perrington, William Perrington, James Perrington, Hannah Perrington & Eliza Perrington & infant child of said Eliza, as slaves for life unto the said Henry Jefferson Bramble, his executors, administrators and assigns, against us the said Emely Tyler, Nancy Tyler & our executors, administrators and against all and every other person and persons whatsoever shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents her Witness Emely Hurlock Nancy x Tyler (seal) Witness Jno. H. Bramble (J. P.) mark her Emely x Tyler (seal) mark State of Maryland Dorchester County &.c Be it remembered that on this the 14.th day of June, in the year of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred & fifty two personall appeared Emely Tyler, Nancy Tyler and the party grantor mentioned in the within Bill of Sale or instrument of writing before me the subscriber a Justice of the Peace for the County & State afforesaid and acknowledges the said BIll of Sale or instrument of writing to be their act and deed, and the negroes slaves therein mentioned and thereby bargained and sold, to be the right and the estate of Henry Jefferson Bramble, the party grantee also therein mentioned his heirs and assigns forever, according to the purport true intent and meaning of the said Bill of Sale or instrument of writing, and the acts of Assembly in such cases made and provided. Taken and certified by me the day and year above written. Jno. H. Bramble (J. P.)
