Almighty God that the said William F. Newton grantor in the foregoing indenture or instrument of wri^gh^ting is due
him the sum of Ninety five dollars and seventy one Cents and the same is Just and true to the best of his knowledge
and belief, this the Eleventh day of February Eighteen hundred and fifty three                           James P. Russell J. P.


Kendal M. Jacobs      Be it remembered and it is hereby Certified that the following Bill of Sale was
    √   from   xd           received and recorded on the 14th day of March 1853 to wit
James N. Wright                           Know all men by these presents that I James N. Wright the Committee
of Elizah Marshall declared a lunatic by the High Court of Chancery by virtue of an order of said Court Empowering
me to sell & Convey the Personal Estate of said Marshall for and in Consideration of the sum of
four hundred and thirty ^one^ four dollars and twenty five Cents, Current money to me in hand paid by
Kendall M. Jacobs of Dorchester County and State of Maryland at & before the sealing and delivery of
these presents the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge have bargained & sold, & by these presents do
give grant bargain & sell unto Kendall M. Jacobs his executors administrators or assigns one negro
woman Called Henry negro girl Susan & infant Child Called Sally  To Have and To Hold
the said negroes above bargained & sold & mentioned or intended so to be to the said Kendall M.
Jacobs his executors, administrators and assigns forever, and I the said James N. Wright committee
as aforesaid for my self and all persons Claiming under me, do hereby Covenant to & with the said
Kendall M. Jacobs his executors administrators and assigns, the said negroes hereby bargained
& sold or intended so to be do warrant & defend against the Claim of all persons whatsoever all
and Singular of said negroes I have put the said Kendall M. Jacobs in full possession by delivering them
into his Custody               In testimony whereof I have hereunto put my hand and seal this 14th day
of March 1853

State of Maryland Dorchester County Sct:      Be it remembered and it is hereby Certified
that on this 14th day of March Anno Domini Eighteen hundred and fifty three before me the subscriber
a Justice of the Peace of the State of Maryland in & for Dorchester County personally appears Jas. N. Wright
Committee of Elizah Marshall, he being known to me to be the person who is named & described as & professing
to be a party to the foregoing deed or indenture or Bill of Sale, and doth acknowledge the Same to be his
act & deed, and at the same time also appears Kendall M. Jacobs the vendee in said bill of sale and makes
oath that the Consideration therein expressed is true & bona fide, as therein set forth            In witness whereof
I have hereunto subscribed my name on the day and year aforesaid                           Charles Corkran J. Peace

Received March 14th 1853 of Kendall M. Jacobs the sum of one dollar in lieu of a stamp on this Bill of Sale

Eben Stanley      Be it remembered and it is hereby Certified that the following Bill of Sale
 √  from  x.d       was received and recorded on the 22d day of March 1858 to wit:
Major Molock          Know all men by these presents that I Major Molock of Dorchester
County in the State of maryland for and in Consideration of the Sum of Seventy Eight dollars
and   Cents Current money to me in hand paid by Eben Stanley of County and State aforesaid
at and before the sealing and delivering of these presents the receipt whereof I the said
Major Molock do hereby acknowledge have granted bargained and sold and by these presents
do grant bargain and sell unto the said Eben Stanley his executors administrators and assigns
all the following named articles viz one Cart one Cow one yearling one lot Blade fodder
five head of Sheep, two Stack top fodder, two Beds bedsteads and furniture five hogs, one
