Sarah A. Tall            Be it remembered and it is hereby Certified that the following Bill of Sale
√     from  xd            was received and recorded on the 10th day of September 1857 to wit:
S. Columbus Tall      We, S. Columbus Tall, Francis W. Tall & Henrietta J. Tall his wife of Dorchester
Francis W. Tall &     County & State of Maryland in Consideration of one Dollar paid
Henrietta J his wife    us by Sarah A. Tall of the same County & State do hereby bargain & sell
                                 unto Sarah A. Tall the following negro slaves negro man Jerry for
the term of seven years from the date hereof negro man Richard for the term of fifteen years
from the date hereof negro Girl Jane for the term of Twenty five years from the date hereof
the said negroes being slaves for the term of years each respectively as above specified from the
date hereof and no longer and the said Sarah A Tall being entitled to said slaves for the whole
of each one respective term.           Witness our hands & seals on this August 31st 1857.

subscriber a Justice of the Peace for the County affs.d S. Columbus Tall, Francis W. Tall &
Henrietta J. Tall & acknowledged the foregoing Bill of Sale to be their act & deed

Henrietta J Tall         Be it remembered and it is hereby Certified that the following Bill of Sale

S. Columbus Tall      We S. Columbus Tall, Francis W. Tall & Sarah A. Tall of Dorchester County
Francis W. Tall &     State of Maryland in Consideration of one dollar paid us by Henrietta
Sarah W. Tall           J Tall of the same County & State do hereby bargain & sell unto Henrietta
                                J Tall the following property negro Boy Levi for the term of sixteen years
from the date hereof negro boy Noah for the term of twenty four years from the date hereof
& negro Woman Hester for the term of Fifteen years from the date hereof.  The said negroes being
slaves for the term of years each respectively as above specified from the date hereof & no longer
and the said Henrietta J. Tall being entitled to said slaves for the whole of each one's respective
term.   Witness our hands & seals on this August 31st 1857
