289 Bay mare Called Fanny, one mare Called Polly (clay Bank Color) two yoke of oxen two ox Carts, two Cows, two yearlings, thirty head of hogs, one lot of Geese, one Lot of dung hill fowls, four beds bedsteads and furniture nine Chairs, one walnut table, one Cherry table, one pine table, one Cupboard, one lot of Crockery and Queensware all the rest and residue of my Household and Kitchen furniture two plows and two Harrows (being the same property that the said George Willey Conveyed to the said John Davis by Bill of Sale bearing date 26 day of March 1856 and recorded in Liber F. J. H. No 9 folios 205 & 206 one of the Chattel Record Books for Dorchester County reference being thereto had will more fully and at large appear Witness my hand and seal this 31st day of July 1857. Witness Charles Corkran John Davis (seal) State of Maryland Dorchester County to wit: I hereby Certify that on this 31st day of July 1857 Personally appeared before the subscriber a Justice of the Peace for Dorchester County aforesaid John Davis and acknowledged the foregoing Bill of Sale to be his act. Charles Corkran (seal) Adeline Bayly Be it remembered and it is hereby Certified that the following Deed of Manumission was received Paid from xd and recorded on the 4th day of August Anno Domini 1857 to wit: William A Stewart We, William A Stewart Rebecca H Stewart, Richard H Dixon and Eliza S. Dixon his wife Rebecca H Stewart of Dorchester County and State of Maryland do hereby manumit and set free one negro Woman Richard H Dixon & wife slave Adeline Bayly of a yellow complexion and aged about thirty five years her freedom to commence from the date of these presents. Jacob Willey Be it remembered and it is hereby Certified that the following BIll of Sale was received and √ from xd recorded on the 10th day of August Anno Domini 1857 to wit: John Davis I John Davis of Dorchester County in the State of Maryland in Consideration of the sum of thirty five hundred dollars paid me by Jacob Willey of the same County and State aforesaid do hereby bargain and sell to the said Jacob Willey the following property to wit: one Crop of Corn now growing on the Ground on Mr.s Neal's farm, one Crop of Corn now growing on the Ground on the farm now occupied by George Willey one mule one dark bay Horse called Bates, one Carriage and harness, one lot of oats, four hundred cords of wood now cut in the woods apart of which is on the farm now in the occupancy of George Willey and a part on D.r Francis J. |
