Henry Clerk Catharine Jackson Be it remembered and it is hereby Certified that the following Bill of Sale was Paid From xd received and recorded on the 26th day of June Anno Domini 1857 to wit: Sallie Pattison I Sallie Pattison of Dorchester County in the State of Maryland in Consideration of love and affection and in further in Consideration of one Dollar paid me by Catharine Jackson of Caroline County and State aforesaid do hereby give bargain and sell to the said Catharine Jackson one negro woman called Sarah aged about twenty two years a slave for life. Witness my hand and seal this twenty third day of June Eighteen hundred and fifty seven Test Sarah Pattison [seal] Charles Corkran State of Maryland Dorchester County to wit: I hereby Certify that on this twenty third day of June Eighteen HUndred and fifty seven personally appeared before me the subscriber a Justice of the Peace for the State and County aforesaid Sallie Pattison and acknowledged the foregoing Bill of Sale to be her act. Jackson June 27 1857 Charles B Frazier Be it remembered and it is hereby Certified that the following Bill of Sale √ From xd was received and recorded the 29th day of June Anno Domini 1857 to wit: James Dixon I James Dixon of Dorchester County in the State of Maryland in Consideration of Three Hundred and seventy five Dollars paid me by Charles B Frazier of the same County and State aforesaid; do hereby bargain and sell to the said Charles B Frazier a negro man named Isaac Jackson about forty five years of age a slave for life. Witness my hand and seal this Eighth day of June Eighteen Hundred and fifty seven Test Charles Corkran J. P. James Dixon (seal) State of Maryland Dorchester County to wit: I hereby Certify that on this Eighth day of June Eighteen Hundred & fifty seven personally appeared before the Justice of the Peace for the State and County aforesaid James Dixon and acknowledged the foregoing Bill of Sale to be his act Charles Corkran J P Thomas Hughlett Be it remembered and it is hereby Certified that the following Deed of Mortgage √ from xd was received and recorded on the 11th day of July Anno Domini 1857 to wit CHarles Baker and We Charles Baker and Elwell Parks of Talbot County State of Maryland Elwell Parks being now indebted unto Thomas Hughlett of same County and State in the sum of Twenty two Hundred and sixty five Dollars seventy six Cents with interest from the second day of July Eighteen hundred and fifty seven in Consideration thereof do hereby bargain and sell to the said Thomas Hughlett the following property to wit: four yoke of Oxen all of which are now on the lands of Thomas Hughlett in Dorchester County maryland also two pair of Timber wheels Chains and fixtures and Gear and appurtenances to the same belonging now on the Land of said Thomas Hughlett in Dorchester County.
