26 set my hand & seal this first day of November 1852 Test John Bradshaw John Brown (seal) Levin Mobray State of Maryland Dorchester County sct: On this 1st day of November 1852 before me the subscriber a Justice of the peace in & for said County & state personally appeared John Brown & acknowledged the above bill of sale or instrument of writing to be his act and deed according to the true intent & meaning thereof at the same time appeared James A Stewart grantee therein named and being by me sworn on the Holy Evangely of Almighty God says that the Consideration therein mentioned is true & bona fide as therein set forth Taken and acknowledged before Charles Corkran J. P. Skinner Richardson Be it remembered and it is hereby Certified that the Exd from following Bill of Sale was received and recorded on the 6th John Richardson day of November 1852 to wit: Know all men by these presents that I John Richardson of Dorchester County in the State of Maryland for and in Consideration of the sum of eight hundred and forty one dollars and sixty one Cents, Current money to me in hand paid by Skinner Richardson, of the County and state aforesaid at or before the sealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof I, the said John Richardson do hereby acknowledge, have granted, bargained, and sold, and by these presents do grant, bargain and sell, unto the said Skinner Richardson, his heirs executors administrators and assigns, the following property To wit fifty Card of Oak wood on Landing, one hundred Card of Oak wood in the woods twenty five Card of pine wood on the Landing one ox Cart, one horse Cart, one bay horse, and bay Colt, Six fatning hogs, one sow and six pigs three thousand pounds of Blade fodder, Sixty barrels of Corn, one four wheel Carriage and harness, two ploughs two harrows one yoke of oxen, one Cow, four beds bedsteads and furniture twelve Cain seated Chairs twelve Stool Chairs one mahogany Table, one clarry Table, two pine Tables two large looking glasses, four pair Venetian window blinds, one pair Brass hand Irons, two yarn Carpets, one Cottan Carpet, one hearth rug, one oil Carpet, Six silver table spoons, six silver Tea spoons, and safe, one milk house one Globe Lamp, one pair plated Candlesticks one Dining set; one Tea set, two large Rocking Chairs, three small Rocking Chairs, and Cupboard, one Bureau and all the balance of my household and kitchen furniture To Have and To Hold, the said foregoing named property and other the premises above bargained and sold, or mentioned and intended so to be to the said Skinner Richardson his executors administrators and assigns forever and I the said John Richardson for myself his heirs executors and administrators all and singular the said property and other the premises unto the said Skinner Richardson his executors administrators and assigns against me the said John Richardson my Executors and administrators and against all and every other person whatsoever shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents In witness whereof I the said John Richardson, have hereunto set my hand and seal this twenty first day of October in the year Eighteen hundred and fifty two in presence of John Richardson (seal) Whitefield Woolford J.
