27 State of Maryland Dorchester County to wit On this 21st day of October in the year of our Lord Eighteen hundred and fifty two before me the subscriber a Justice of the peace of the sate of Maryland in and for the said County personally appeared John Richardson and acknowledged the foregoing Bill of Sale or instrument of writing to be his act and deed, according to the purport true intent and meaning thereof and the act of assembly in Such Case made and provided And at the same time and place also appeared before me Skinner Richardson grantee in the foregoing Bill of Sale named and made Oath on the Holy Evangely of Almighty God that the Consideration set forth in the said bill of Sale is true and bona fide as therein set forth Taken and Certified the day and date before written Before Whitefield Woolford J. P. 1852 Received of Skinner Richardson the sum of one dollar in lieu of a stamp on this Bill of Sale Francis J. Henry Clk State of Maryland Be it remembered and it is hereby Certified that the Exd from following Bond was received and recorded on the 26th Thos W. Anderson Treasurer day of November 1852 to wit: (Stamp) of Certain Commissioners Maryland, Dorchester County, to wit ($6.00) Know all men by these presents, that we Thomas W. Anderson, William Rea Samuel W. Lecompte of Dorchester County are held and firmly bound unto the State of Maryland, in the full and just sum of Twelve thousand dollars Current money, or its certain attorney; to which payment well and truly to be made and done we bind ourselves and each of us, our and each of our heirs, Executors and Administrators firmly, by these presents; sealed with our Seals, and dated this fifteenth day of July eighteen hundred and fifty two 1852 Whereas by an act of the general assembly of the State of Maryland, passed December Session 1851 Entitled an act To provide for building a Court house in Dorchester County, Certain Commissioners are named and a Treasurer shall be Chosen, who shall give bond to the State of maryland; in Compliance therewith the said Thomas W. Anderson was Chosen Treasurer; therefore the Condition of the above obligation is such that if the above bounden Thomas W. Anderson do and shall safely keep and pay out and disburse all monies Committed to his Custody as Treasurer aforesaid upon the orders of a majority of the said Commissioners or their Successors in office and shall keep a full and perfect account of all monies received and all monies disbursed by him, with the vouchers therefor and shall render and exhibit to the said Commissioners whomsoever by them, or a majority of them required so to do, and shall faithfully account for all monies received by him as Treasurer as aforesaid; then the above obligation shall be void, otherwise of full force and virtue in law Signed sealed and delivered Thos W.
