James T Pritchett      Be it remembered and it is hereby Certified that the following Deed was received
    √   from   xd         and recorded on the 26th day of November Anno Domini 1856 to wit:
Nancy Creighton      I Nancy Creighton of Baltimore City and State of Maryland in Consideration
                                of One Hundred and seventy seven Dollars paid me by James T. Pritchett of
Dorchester County and State aforesaid do hereby bargain and sell to the said James T. Pritchett
the following property to wit:   Negro man Moses aged about fifty years as a slave for life.
Witness my hand and seal this twenty seventh day of October in the year Eighteen hundred and
fifty six

State of Maryland Baltimore City to wit:
                               I hereby Certify that on this twenty seventh day of October Eighteen
Hundred and fifty six appeared Nancy Creighton before the subscriber a Justice of
the Peace for Baltimore City aforesaid and acknowledged the foregoing Bill of Sale to be
her act.                                             Acknowledged before

State of Maryland Baltimore City sct:
                               I hereby Certify that Augustine H. Pennington Esquire before whom the
annexed acknowledgment was made and who has thereto subscribed his name was at the time of
so doing a Justice of the Peace of the State of Maryland in and for the City of Baltimore
duly Commissioned and sworn
                In Testimony Whereof I hereto set my hand and affix the seal of the Superior
    (seal)    Court of Baltimore City this 27th day of October A. D. 1856

named in the above Bill of Sale and made oath on the Holy Evangely of Almighty
God that the Consideration set forth in the above Bill of Sale is true and Bona fide
as therein set forth                                    Acknowledged before

John N Wright      Be it remembered and it is hereby Certified that the following Bill of Sale
    √   from   xd      was received and recorded on the 1st day of December 1856 to wit:
Ann Wright           Know all men by these presents that I Ann Wright of Dorchester
                            County and State of Maryland for and in Consideration of the sum of Fifteen
hundred Dollars Current money to me in my hand paid by John N Wright of the County
and State aforesaid at and before the sealing and delivery hereof the receipt whereof I do hereby
acknowledge have granted bargained and sold and by these presents do grant bargain and sell
unto John N Wright his heirs Executors administrators and assigns three negroes two men and
one Woman names and age as follows Perry aged about forty years, Kitt his wife aged about
thirty five years and Israel his age is about twenty two.  To Have and To Hold the
