further sum of five Dollars to him the said Benjamin B. Harrison by the said David W Tyler in hand paid
on or before the subscribing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged by the said
Benjamin B. Harrison have granted bargained and sold released and Confirmed and by these presents doth
grant bargain and sell release and confirm unto the said David W Tyler his heirs and assigns the following
personal property one negro woman slave named Letia Sims aged about twenty eight years one negro boy slave
Ben Simms aged about ten years one negro Girl named Mary aged about thirteen months.  To Have
and To Hold the said slaves and each and every of them unto the said David W Tyler his his heirs and
assigns forever to his and their own use and behoof.  Provided Always and it is the true intent and meaning
of these presents and of the said parties hereunto that if the said Benjamin B. Harrison his heirs Executors
or administrators do and shall well and truly pay or cause to be paid unto the said David W Tyler
his heirs Executors administrators or assigns the said full sum of Four Hundred and forty six dollars
Current money with legal interest for the same according to the tenner and effect of the said Bill Obligatory
without any deduction or abatement whatsoever then and from thenceforth these presents and
every matter and thing therein contained shall cease and be utterly null and void anything therein contained
to the contrary thereof in any wise notwithstanding.  In Witness Whereof the said Benjamin B
Harrison hath hereunto set his hand and seal on the day and year first herein before written

                                                                         The State of Maryland Dorchester County to wit:
Be it remembered and it is hereby Certified that on this sixteenth day of August one thousand eight
hundred and fifty six before the subscriber a Justice of the Peace of the State of Maryland in and
for the County afforesaid personally appears Benjamin B Harrison he being known to me to be the person
who is named and described as and professing to be the party grantor in the foregoing Deed of Mortgage
or Indenture and doth acknowledge the said Indenture or Instrument of writing to be his act and
deed:  At the same time appeared David W. Tyler Grantee or Mortgagee in the said Instrument
mentioned to me known who being by me duly sworn on the Holy Evangely of Almighty God
says that the Consideration set forth in the said Deed of Mortgage is true Bona fide as therein
set forth.  In Testimony Whereof I hereunto subscribe my name on the day and year aforesaid

William Spedden                    Be it remembered and it is hereby Certified that the following Bill of Sale
Paid      from                          was received and recorded on the 5th day of September Anno Domini 1856 to wit:
Thomas W Anderson             State of Maryland Dorchester County ss:  I Thomas W Anderson of Cambridge
Guard.n E Noel Eccleston      Dorchester County Maryland Guardian of E Noel Eccleston of said     
                                              County and State under and by virtue of an order of the Orphans' Court of said
County and State passed on the fourth day of August 1856 in Consideration of the sum of Four
Hundred and five Dollars paid me by William Spedden of said County and State do hereby bargain
and sell to the said William Spedden the following Property negro boy Bill aged about twenty
two years at and for the time of thirteen years from the first day of January 1857 at the expiration
of which term the said Negro man Bill os to revert to the said Edward Noel Eccleston the
said Negro man being a slave for life.  Witness our hands & seals this 30th day of August 1856.
