233 contained to the contrary thereof in any wise notwithstanding and the said Hugh Maguire for himself his heirs executors or administrators or some or one of them shall and will well and truly pay or cause to be paid unto the said William W. Crawford his executors administrators and assigns the Said Sum of Two hundred and Sixteen Dollars and Seventy two cents together with interest for the Same at Such time as in the within recited premises and condition herein mentioned and appointed for the payment thereof and the said Hugh Maguire for himself his executors and administrators all and singular the Said property by these presents granted bargained and sold and every part thereof unto the Said William W. Crawford his executors administrators and assigns him the Said Hugh Maguire his executors administrators and against all and every other person and persons whatsoever shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents. In witness whereof the Said Hugh Maguire hath hereto set his name and affixed his seal the day and date within written Signed Sealed and Hugh Maguire (seal) delivered in presence of Hiram W. Woolford J. P. Maryland Dorchester County to wit On the Eleventh day of July in the year of our Lord One thousand Eight Hundred and fifty Six personally appeared before me a Justice of the peace in and for Said County Hugh Maguire party mortgagor and acknowledged the within and aforegoing mortgage Bill of Sale to be his act and deed according to the purport true intent and meaning of the Same and at the Same time came before me William W. Crawford party mortgagee within mentioned and made Oath on the Holy Evangely of Almighty God that the consideration set forth in this mortgage bill of Sale is true and bona fide as therein set forth according to the true meaning of the Act of Assembly of 1846 Chapter 271 made and provided Acknowledged Before Hiram W. Woolford W. W. Crawford 1860 April 2nd I hereby release the above Mortgage witness my hand & seal Test F I Henry Clk Samuel W Lecompte Be it remembered and it is hereby certified Paid from xd that the following Bill of Sale was received and Isaac J. T. Harris recorded on the 22d day of July 1856 to wit: I Isaac J. T. Harris of Dorchester county in consideration of Four Hundred Dollars paid me by Samuel W. Lecompte of Dorchester county do hereby bargain and Sell to the Said Samuel W Lecompte the following property Four beds & beding one mahogany Sofa one dozen cain Slat chairs Two carpets Two mahogany Tables one looking glass and all the residue of the household and kitchen furniture one market waggon, one buggy waggon and harness seven head of Hoggs Three barrels Brandy Twenty one candy Jars one Box candles Two half boxes of candles one barrel crackers Eight decanters and all the residue of goods in Store House, Two double barrel guns one Single barrel Gun Two hand Seines Two boats and Delivered to Saml W LeCompte the 24th November 1856 |
