211 described property with the appurtenances thereto belonging unto the said Charles Austin his heirs and assigns to the only proper use of the Said Charles Austin his heirs and assigns forever. In Testimony whereof the Said Levin Mobray and Jacob Willey have hereunto set their hands and seals on the day and year first within written Levin Mobray (seal) in the presence of his S. W. Lecompte David M. Corkran Jacob x Willey (seal) mark State of Maryland Dorchester County to wit: Be it remembered and it is hereby certified that on this fith day of May Eighteen Hundred and fifty six before the subscriber one of the Justices of the Peace of the State of Maryland in and for Dorchester County aforesaid personally appears Levin Mobray and and Jacob Willey they being known to me to be the persons who are named and described as and professing to be parties to the aforegoing deed of release or indenture and do acknowledge the said indenture or instrument of writing to be their act and deed. In Testimony whereof I hereunto subscribe my name on the day and year aforesaid S. W. Lecompte J. P. In & for Dorchester County State of Maryland Be it remembered and it is hereby certified that √ From xd the following Bond was received and recorded William H. Barton & others on the 9th day of May 1856 to wit: Know all men by these presents that we William H. Barton, Thos. H. Hicks & Saml. W. Lecompte are held and firmly bound unto the state of Maryland in the just and full sum of Three Thousand dollars current money to be paid to the Said State or its certain Attorney for which payment well and truly to be made we bind ourselves and each of us our and each of our heirs Executors and administrators firmly by these presents sealed with our seals and dated this 9th day of May Eighteen hundred and fifty Six The condition of the above obligation is such that if the above bounden William H. Barton shall well and truly execute the Office of Coroner in all things thereto belonging and shall also well and faithfully execute and return all writs or process to him directed; and shall also pay and deliver to the person or persons entitled to receive the Same all sums of money and all goods and chattels by him levied seized or taken agreeably to the directions of the writ or other process under which the Same shall have been levied seized or taken; and also shall keep and detain in safe custody all and every person or persons committed to his custody or by him taken in execution or who shall be committed for want of bail without suffering them or any of them to escape or depart from his custody and shall also satisfy and pay all Judgments which shall be rendered against him as coroner; and shall also well and truly execute and perform the several duties required of or imposed upon him by the laws of the State of Maryland; then this obligation to be void and of none effect else to be and remain in full force and virtue in law |
