210 Charles Austin Be it remembered and it is hereby certified that the following √ From xd Release of Mortgage was received and recorded on the fifth Levin Mobray & day of May in the year of our Lord one Thousand eight hundred Jacob Willey and fifty six to wit: This Indenture made this fith day of May in the year of our Lord Eighteen Hundred and fifty Six between Levin Mobray and Jacob Willey of Dorchester County in the State of Maryland of the one part and Charles Austin free colored man of the Same County and State aforesaid of the other part Whereas the said Charles Austin, by indenture of Mortgage, bearing date the twenty third day of January in the year of our Lord Eighteen Hundred and fifty four duly executed acknowledged and recorded among the chattel record books for Dorchester County in Liber F. J. H. No. 2 folios 88 & 89 did for and in consideration and on account of the Said Levin Mobray and Jacob Willey becoming security for the Said Charles Austin on a certain Bill obligatory to John A. Scott bearing date the first day of January Eighteen hundred and fifty four for the Sum of Five Hundred dollars payable twelve months after date with interest from date of Said Bill obligatory, grant, bargain and sell unto the Said Levin Mobray and Jacob Willey their heirs executors administrators and assigns the following goods and chattels to wit: one iron grey Horse Tom one Spotted mare Called Betts one white mare called Nance one red Steer called Lamb one dark steer called Jake one red Steer Called Turk one red steer with white back called Tory two white Cows two heifers two Steer yearlings one red Calf twenty one head of hogs, twelve head of Sheep, two ox carts, two cultivators, two plows four beds bedsteads and furniture, one dozen chairs, one bureau, one large table, one clock, one old desk and all the rest and residue of his household and Kitchen furniture, the crop of wheat then growing on the ground where the said Austin then resided, one hundred barrels of corn, five thousand pounds of blade fodder and six top stacks, as by reference to said deed of Mortgage will more fully appear. And Whereas the said Charles Austin hath fully paid and satisfied to him the Said John A. Scott the above mentioned sum of Five Hundred dollars and the interest thereon being the entire amount of Said Bill obligatory which the Said Charles Austin gave to the Said John A. Scott & on which the Said Levin Mobray & Jacob Willey were security they the Said Levin Mobray and Jacob Willey do agree to execute this instrument of writing as a full release of the within described property. Now This Indenture Witnesseth that the said Levin Mobray and Jacob Willey for and in consideration of the payment of the within mentioned sum of money and the interest thereon to the said John A. Scott by the Said Charles Austin and for and in consideration of one dollar to them the Said Levin Mobray and Jacob Willey in hand paid by the Said Charles Austin at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, have given, granted bargained and sold and by these presents do give grant bargain and sell unto him the Said Charles Austin his heirs and assigns forever the within mentioned and described property.
