Acworth the party grantor in the aforegoing deed of indenture Personally appeared before the subscriber a Justice of the Peace in and for said county and acknowledged the same as his deed and act and executed and delivered the Same for the uses intents and purposes therein expressed and mentioned and also at the Same time personally appeared Albert Acworth the party grantee named in the aforesaid deed of indenture and made Oath on the Holy Evangely of Almighty God that the consideration ^mentioned^ in the within and aforegoing mortgage deed is bona fide true and just Taken and acknowledged before Samuel Keys J. P. The words "Personally appeared before the subscriber a Justice of the peace in & for said county" first being interlined between the fourth & fifth lines Samuel Keys Received of Albert Acworth this 21st day of July 1855 fifty Cents in lieu of a Stamp on this mortgage F. J. Henry Clk John Driver Be it remembered and it is hereby Certified that the following Bill of paid from xd sale was received and recorded on the 27th day of July 1855 to wit: Richd Nevit Know all men by these presents that I Richard Nevitt of Dorchester County and State of Maryland for and in consideration of the Sum of Seventy five dollars current money by me in hand paid by John Driver at or before the Sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof I the Said Richard Nevitt do hereby acknowledge have granted bargained and Sold unto the Said John Driver his heirs executors and administrators. 1 Bay Horse one waggon. To Have and To Hold the said described property to the said John Driver his executors administrators and assigns forever and I the Said Richard Nevitt for myself my executors and administrators the aforesaid Horse and Waggon to the said John Driver his executors Administrators and assigns against me the said Richard Nevitt my executors or Administrators and against all and every person or persons whatsoever shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents In witness whereof I the Said Richard Nevitt have hereunto set my hand and Seal this twelfth day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred fifty five his Signed sealed and delivered Richard x Nevitt (seal) in the presence of mark Charles Corkran J. Peace Maryland Dorchester County to wit: On this twelfth day of July in the year of Eighteen hundred fifty five before me one of the Justices of the peace of in and for Said County appears Richard Nevitt and acknowledges the aforesaid writing to be his act and deed according to the true intent and meaning thereof and the act of Assembly in such cases made and provided Charles Corkran Maryland Dorchester County to wit: Be it remembered that on the date of the aforegoing acknowledgment before me the subscriber a Justice of the peace in and for Said County personally appears John Driver party to the foregoing bill of Sale or instrument of writing and makes Oath on the holy Evangely of almighty God that the Consideration set forth in the aforegoing bill of sale or instrument of writing is true and bona fide as stated therein Sworn before Charles Corkran |
