147 that I Solomon F. Kirwan admr. of Saml. J. Meekins of Dorchester County and State of Maryland for and in consideration of the sum of Four hundred and Fifty Dollars current money to me in hand paid by George H. Meekins Robt. Meekins & William L. Meekins of Dorchester County and State of Maryland have granted bargained and sold and by these presents do grant bargain and sell unto the said George H. Meekins Robt. Meekins & W.m L. Meekins their heirs and assigns the following negros Sarah & child (Sold By me the said Solomon F. Kirwan By order of the orphans court on the 14 of December 1854 Slave for life. To Have and To Hold the said negros Sarah & child as above bargained and sold unto the said George H. Meekins Robt. Meekins & W.m L. Meekins their heirs executors administrators and assigns forever In Testimony Whereof I Solomon F. Kirwan admr. Saml J. Meekins have hereto set my hand and affixed Seal this Thirtieth day of January eighteen hundred and fifty five Signed Sealed and delivered Solomon F. Kirwan (seal) in the presence of admr. of Samuel J. Meekins Decd. John W. Dean a Justice of the Peace Maryland Dorchester County to wit: On the Thirtieth day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty five personally appeared before me a Justice of the Peace in and for said County the within named Solomon F. Kirwan admr. of Samuel J. Meekins and acknowledged the within bill of Sale to be his act and deed according to the purport true intent and meaning of the same and at the same time Came before me George H. Meekins Robert Meekins & W.m L. Meekins within mentioned and made Oath on the Holy Evangely of Almighty God that the consideration set forth in this bill of Sale is true and bona fide as therein set forth according to the true meaning of the Act of Assembly of 1846 chapter 271 made and provided Acknowledged Before John W. Dean J. P. 1855 February 26th: Received of George H. Robert & William L. Meekins one dollar in lieu of a stamp on this Bill of Sale F. J. Henry clk Delivered to George H. Meekins April 2d 1855 Joseph W. Meekins Be it remembered and it is hereby certified that the following Bill of √ from xd Sale was received and recorded on the 26th day of February in the year Solomon F. Kirwan of our Lord Eighteen Hundred and fifty five To wit: admr. of Samuel J. Meekins Know all men by these presents that I Solomon F. Kirwan admr. of Saml. J. Meekins of Dorchester County and State of Maryland for and in consideration of the sum of Three hundred and Ninety five Dollars current money to me in hand paid by Joseph W. Meekins of Dorchester County and State of Maryland have granted bargained and sold and by these presents do grant bargain and sell unto the said Joseph W. Meekins his heirs and assigns the following negros Cass & child slaves for life. To Have and To Hold the said negros Cass & child (sold by me the said Solomon F Kirwan by order of the orphans Court on the 14.th of of December 1854 as above bargained and sold unto the said Joseph W. Meekins his heirs executors administrators and assigns forever In Testimony Whereof I Solomon F. Kirwan admr. of Samuel J.
