Bill of Sale                                                                                                          F. J. Henry


William T. Manning      Be it remembered and it is hereby certified that the following Bill of sale was received
Paid      from   xd         and recorded on the 10th day of October 1854 to wit
John L. M.cMichael              Know all men by these presents that I John L. Mcmichael of Dorchester County
                                    in the state of Maryland for and in Consideration of the Sum of One Hundred and Seventy
Dollars and Eighty five & one half Cents current money to me in hand paid by William T. Manning of the same county
and state aforesaid, at or before the Sealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof I the said John L. Mcmichael
do hereby acknowledge have granted bargained and sold and by these presents do grant bargain and sell unto the
said William T. Manning his Executors administrators and assigns the following property, to wit:  one brown Horse Called
John one york wagon one Buggy one yoke of oxen one ox cart and the crop of corn on the farm where I now
reside all which said property is now in the occupation of the said John L. Mcmichael.  To Have and To Hold the
above described property as above bargained and Sold or mentioned or intended so to be to the said William
T. Manning his executors administrators and assigns forever; and I the said John L. Mcmichael for myself
my heirs executors and administrators all and singular the said goods and Chattels as above described unto the said
William T. Manning his Executors administrators and assigns against me the said John L. Mcmichael my
executors and administrators and against all and every other person and persons whatsoever shall and will
warrant and forever defend by these presents.  In witness whereof I John L. Mcmichael hath hereunto subscribed
my name and affixed my seal this Twenty First day of September Eighteen Hundred and fifty four
Signed Sealed and delivered                                                               John L. Mcmichael    (seal)

                         Nicholas Langfit

Maryland Dorchester County to wit:      Be it remembered that on this Twenty First day of September in the
year of our Lord Eighteen Hundred and fifty four personally appears before me the subscriber a Justice of the
Peace in and for the County and state aforesaid the within named John L. Mcmichael and acknowledges the
within Bill of Sale or instrument of Writing to be his at and deed according to the purport true intent and
meaning of the same.  At the Same time Came before me Justice as aforesaid William T. Manning within
mentioned and made Oath that the Consideration set forth in this Bill of Sale is true and bona fide as
therein set forth                           Acknowledged and sworn before            Nicholas Langfit J. P.

Bill of Sale delivered to William T. Manning the 6th day of December 1854


James A. Stewart      Be it remembered and it is hereby certified that the following Bill of Sale
    √   from   x.d         was received and recorded on the 11th day of November 1854 to wit:
William W. Cook               Know all men by these presents that I William W. Cook now in Dorchester
                                 county State of Maryland for and in consideration of the sum of Three
Hundred and Twenty Dollars to me in hand paid by James A. Stewart of Same county and state
have given, granted, bargained, sold and transferred and by these presents do give, grant, bargain sell
and transfer to the said James A. Stewart and his heirs, Executors, administrators or assigns all my
right, title, interest and demand which I now have under & by virtue of the last will and testament
of the late Peter Lecompte of Peter & upon whose Estate, William Billips has administered or which
I May be hereafter entitled to therefrom in the event of the death of any of the legatees mentioned in
