Anna Hooper Thomas H. Williams and Eliza his wife for ourselves our heirs executors and administrators all and
singular the said negro boy Davey Kennard unto the said Alward Johnson his heirs executors administrators and assigns
against us the said Ann E. Hooper Sarah Hooper Anna Hooper Thomas H. Williams and Eliza his wife our executors and
administrators and against all and every other person and persons whatsoever shall and will warrant and forever defend
by these presents.               In witness whereof the said Ann E. Hooper Sarah Hooper Anna Hooper Thomas H. Williams
and Eliza Williams his wife have hereunto subscribed their names and affixed their seals this second day of October

State of Maryland Dorchester County to wit:  Be it remembered that on this second day of October Eighteen Hundred
and fifty four before the subscriber a Justice of the Peace of the State of Maryland in and for Dorchester County
aforesaid personally appeared Ann E. Hooper Sarah Hooper Anna Hooper Thomas H. Williams and Eliza Williams
his wife party grantors in the within and aforegoing Bill of Sale or instrument of writing and severally and respectively
did Sign Seal and acknowledge the said Bill of Sale or instrument to be their several & respective acts and deeds and the
said Eliza Williams wife of the said Thomas H. Williams and out of the presence and hearing of her said husband did
appear before me and sign seal execute and acknowledge the within instrument of writing to be her act and deed and
being by me privately examined part from & out of the presence and hearing of her said husband whether she does
sign seal execute and acknowledge the said instrument of writing voluntarily and freely and without being induced to
do so by fear or threats of or ill usage by her husband or fear of his displeasure the said Eliza Williams wife of the
said Thomas H. Williams acknowledges that she does Sign, Seal Execute and acknowledge the same willingly and freely
and without being induced to do so by fear or threats of or ill usage by her said husband or fear of his displeasure and
I do further Certify I am satisfied of my own knowledge that the said Ann E. Hooper Sarah Hooper Anna Hooper
Thomas H. Williams and Eliza Williams his wife who are named and described as and who profess to be the
party grantors in the said Bill of Sale or instrument of writing are the same persons who are named and described
therein and who executed and acknowledged the same before me. At the same time personally appeared be me Justice
of the Peace as aforesaid Alward Johnson party grantor within mentioned and Made Oath on the Holy Evangely
of Almighty God that the consideration set forth in the foregoing Bill of Sale is true and bona fide as therein set
forth.                                                              Acknowledged and sworn before      Robert R. Robertson

Received the 2d day of October 1854 of Alward Johnson the sum of one Dollar in lieu of a stamp on this Bill of Sale

Eliza Akeman      Be it remembered and it is hereby certified that the following Bill of Sale was received
    √   from  xd     and recorded on the 3d day of October 1854 to wit:
James Akeman                      Know all men by these presents that James Akeman of Dorchester County and
                            State of Maryland for and in Consideration of the sum of fifty Dollars current money to me in
hand paid by Eliza Akeman before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof I the said James
Akeman do hereby acknowledge have granted bargained and sold unto the said Eliza Akeman her Heirs Executors and
Administrators all the Crop of Corn now growing on the farm where the said Eliza Akeman now lives and the
Blade and top fodder on said farm to have and to hold the said described property to the said Eliza Akeman her
       Executors Administrator and assigns forever and I the said James Akeman for myself my heirs Executors and
administrators and assigns against me the said James Akeman my Executors ^or^ Administrators and against all and
every person or persons whatsoever shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents
