Isaac H. Wright                               Be it remembered and it is hereby certified that the following Bill of Sale was
    √   from                                      received and recorded on the 2d day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand
L. W. Stewart & Uriah Maguire      eight hundred and fifty four to wit:
admrs of Henry Maguire                                 Know all men by these presents that we Levin W. Stewart and Uriah
                                                       Maguire admrs of Henry Maguire late of Dorchester County deceased in the State of Maryland
for and in consideration of the sum of Fourteen Hundred and Ninety Three Dollars current money to us in hand
paid by Isaac H. Wright of same county and State of Maryland at the sealing and delivery of these presents have granted
bargained and sold and by these presents do grant bargain and sell unto the said Isaac H. Wright his Exors admrs &
assigns one negro woman called "Sarah" aged thirty one years and to serve until she is forty Five years old having then
to serve fourteen years from this date when she is entitled to her freedom according to the last will & testament of
the said Henry Maguire & according to this instrument of writing ^& also one infant child of the said Sarah aged Ten months called John and to serve until he is forty Five years of age having then to serve for the term of Forty Four years & two months when he will be entitled to his Freedom by the authority as his mother sarah aforesaid^ also negro boy Richard son of the said woman Sarah now
ten years & Eight months of age and to serve until he is forty Five years of age having then to serve Thirty Four years & some months
when he will be entitled to his freedom by the same authority as the said Sarah also negro boy "Dale" aged four years & one month
& to serve until he is forty Five years of age having then to serve forty years & Eleven Months when he will be entitled to his Freedom
by like Authority as the said Sarah the said boy Dale beig also a son of the said Sarah also negro girl Harriet aged seven
years & five months being the daughter of the said Sarah and a slave for life and as such sold   To Have and To Hold the said
negro slaves for the terms aforesaid & the last one as slave for life unto him the said Isaac H. Wright his Executors administrators
and assigns      In witness whereof the said Levin W. Stewart & Uriah Maguire administrator of the said Henry Maguire and the
said Isaac H. Wright the parties selling & the party buying have to these presents set their hand and seals this 29th of September in

State of Maryland Dorchester County to wit:
                                     On this 29th day of September 1854 personally appeared before me the subscriber W.m R. Tall
a Justice of the peace in & for the said county & state Levin W. Stewart and Uriah Maguire personally known to me to be
the party grantors in the foregoing Bill of Sale and did severally acknowledge the same to be their act & Deed at the same
time the said Isaac H. Wright the party purchaser did before me make oath on the Holy Evangely of Almighty God that the
consideration mentioned in the said Bill of Sale is true & bona fide to the best of his knowledge and belief

Alward Johnson      Be it remembered and it is hereby certified that the following Bill of Sale was received
    √   From   x.d      and recorded on the 2d day of October in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred
Ann E. Hooper        and fifty four to wit:
Sarah Hooper & others               Know all men by these presents that we Ann E. Hooper (widow of the
                                late D.r John H. Hooper) Sarah Hooper Anna Hooper Thomas H. Williams and Eliza
Williams his wife of Dorchester County in the State of Maryland for and in Consideration of the Sum of Seven Hundred
Dollars Current Money to us in hand paid by Alward Johnson of the Same County and State aforesaid at or before the
sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof we the said Ann E. Hooper Sarah Hooper Anna Hooper Thomas
H. Williams and Eliza his wife do hereby acknowledge have granted bargained sold and delivered and by these presents
do grant bargain sell and deliver unto the said Alward Johnson his heirs executors administrators and assigns one
negro boy Called Davy Kennard a slave for life now about nineteen years of age.  To Have and To Hold the said
negro boy Davey Kennard as above bargained and sold or mentioned or intended so to be to the said Alward
Johnson his heirs executors administrators and assigns forever; and we the said Ann E. Hooper Sarah Hooper

Delivered the 17th day of April 1835 to Thomas H. Hicks
