by these presents do grant bargain & sell unto the said Hugh Neild his executors administrators and assigns negro
girl Alexena now ten years eight and one half months old to serve as a slave until she attains the age of forty five years consequently
she will have thirty four years & three & a half mos to serve She the said negro girl having been a slave for life to the said
Henry Maguire deceased but by his will freed at the age of forty five years  To Have and To Hold the said negro girl Alexena
unto him the said Hugh Neild his executors administrators and assigns and for and untill the said girl Alexena shall attain
the full age of forty five years and no longer  In witness whereof we L. W. Stewart and Uriah Maguire the seller and
Hugh Neild the buyer have hereunto set our hands & seals this thirteenth day of September 1854

and fifty four personally appeared before me Whitefield Woolford a justice of the peace in and for Said County & State
L. W. Stewart, Uriah Maguire & Hugh Neild to me known to be the persons mentioned & described as and professing to be
the Seller and buyer in foregoing Bill of Sale and did severally acknowledge that they did execute the same for the uses
& purposes therein mentioned  At the same time the said Hugh Neild made oath before me on the Holy Evangely of
Almighty God that the Consideration set forth in said Bill of Sale is true and bona fide as therein set forth

Received the 15th day of September 1854 of Hugh Neild the Sum of One Dollar in lieu of a stamp on this Bill

Valleary J. Mcguire          Be it remembered and it is hereby certified that the following Bill of Sale was received
       √   from   x.d             and recorded on the 16th day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand eight
Levin W. Stewart and      hundred and fifty four to wit:
Uriah Mcguire admrs                   Know all men by these presents that we L. W. Stewart and Uriah Maguire administrators
                                        of Henry Maguire deceased late of Dorchester County State of Maryland for and in
Consideration of the sum of six hundred dollars current money to them in hand paid by Valerea Maguire of Dorchester
County in said State on and before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged:  have
granted bargained and sold and by these presents do grant bargain and sell unto the said Valera Maguire her
executors administrators and assigns negro girl mary now to be years & 17 days old to serve as a slave untill she
attains the age of forty five consequently she will have thirty two years & 348 days to serve she the said negro girl
having been a slave for a life to the said Henry Maguire deceased but by his will freed at the age of Forty five years
To Have and To Hold the said negro girl Mary unto her the said Valera Maguire her executors and administrators
and assigns and for and untill the said negro girl Mary shall attain the full age of 45 years and no longer

             In witness whereof we Uriah Maguire & L. W. Stewart the seller and Valera Maguire the purchaser have
