118 day light for the residue of the year commencing the tenth day of May 1854 and ending twelve months thereafter and shall keep constantly and in good order a scow that will Safely carry three passangers and their horses at one trip with one able bodied skillful hand to attend the said ferry and shall not charge or receive any greater price for ferriage than what is allowed him by law then the above obligation to be void; otherwise of full force and virtue in law Signed Sealed and delivered William H. Lecompte Be it remembered and it is hereby Certified that the following Certificate his certificate of negroes x.d of negroes was received and recorded on the 1st day of June 1854 to wit: √ I Edward W. Lecompte of Cambridge Dorchester County Maryland do hereby certify that the following is a true and correct list of the negroes belonging to and in the possession of my wife Mary Elizabeth Lecompte (formerly Mary Elizabeth Wall) at the time of my marriage with her to wit: On the Seventh day of December Eighteen hundred and fifty three containing as near as practicable the names and ages of the said negroes filed for record under the provisions of the act of the General assembly of Maryland passed December session 1842 Chapter 293 Section 7 (see the will of Levin H. Wall deceased recorded in the office of the Register of Wills for Dorchester County)
