11 furniture and other the premises above bargained and sold or mentioned and intended so to be to the said Francis Henry his executors administrators and assigns for ever and I the said Phillip Harvey for myself my heirs executors and administrators all and Singular the Said goods household stuff and furniture and other the premises unto the said Francis Harvey his executors administrators and assigns against me the said Phillip Harvey my executors and administrators and against all and every other person or persons whatsoever shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents of all and singular which said goods household Stuff and furniture and other the premises I the said Phillip Harvey have put the said Francis Harvey in full possession by delivering to him the said Francis Harvey one Bay mare at the sealing and delivering of these presents in the name of the whole premises hereby bargained or sold or mentioned and intended to be so unto him the said Francis Harvey as aforesaid. As witness my hand and seal this 22.nd day of July 1852 Test his Nicholas Langfit Phillip x Harvey (Seal) mark On this 22.d day of July 1852 personally appeared Phillip Harvey before the subscriber a Justice of the peace for the County and the State aforesaid and acknowledged the foregoing Bill of Sale to be his acting deed according to the true intent and meaning thereof Taken and acknowledged before Nicholas Langfit (Seal) State of Maryland Dorchester County to wit: On this 22.d day of July 1852 personally appeared before the Subscriber a Justice of the peace in and for the County and State aforesaid Francis Harvey and made oath on the Holy Evangely of Almighty God that the Condition set forth in the foregoing Bill of Sale is Just and bona fide as therein set forth Sworn before Nicholas Langfit J. P. James A. Stewart Be it remembered and it is hereby certified that the following Bill Exd from of Sale was received and recorded on the 30th day of July 1852 to wit: Thomas Willis Know all men by these presents that I Thomas Willis of Dorchester County in the State of Maryland for and in consideration of the sum of Three hundred and Twelve dollars and fifty Cents to me in hand paid by James A. Stewart of said County and State have granted bargained and sold and by these presents do grant bargain and sell unto the said James A. Stewart all my right title claim and interest of in & to my negro woman Harriet, acquired under and by virtue of a Bill of Sale of the Same to me from John Mills & Eliza Brodess dated the 13th day of June 1850 and recorded in Liber W. J. No. 3 folio 259 one of the chattel record books of Dorchester County In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this 28th day of July 1852 Thomas Willis (Seal) State of Maryland Dorchester County sct On this 28th day of July A. D. 1852 personally appeared before me a Justice of the peace in and for said County the within named Thomas Willis and acknowledged the within Bill of Sale to be his act and deed according to the purport true intent and meaning of the same and at the same time appeared James A. Stewart the grantee aforesaid and made oath on the Holy Evangely of Almighty God that the Consideration set forth in this Bill of Sale is true & bona fide as stated according to the acts of assembly in such case made and provided Acknowledged and sworn before Charles Corkran 1852 July 30th Received of James A.
