10 bargained and Sold, Conveyed and transferred, and by these presents do bargain and Sell, Convey and transfer unto the Said William H. Jordan his heirs and assigns the following goods and Chattels and personal property to wit: One bay horse, one horse Cart, and harness the Crops of Corn now Standing and growing on the lots in and near to the town of Cambridge in Cultivation by the Said Pennington, three beds bedsteads and furniture, two dozen Chairs, three tables, and all the residue of the kitchen and household furniture and goods and chattels and personal property of every kind and description whatsoever, now in the possession of the Said Pennington. To Have and To Hold the said above described and inumerated goods and chattels and personal property unto the Said William H. Jordan his heirs and assigns against him the Said William P. Pennington his heirs and assigns, to the only proper use and behoof of the Said William H. Jordan his heirs and assigns, and for no other use intent or purpose whatsoever In witness whereof the said William P. Pennington has hereunto Subscribed his name and affixed his seal this Twenty first day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty two Signed Sealed and delivered In presence of William P. Pennington [Seal] Charles Corkran State of Maryland Dorchester County Ss: Be it remembered and it is hereby Certified that on this twenty first day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty two before the subscriber one of the Justices of the peace in and for the County and state aforesaid personally appeared William P. Pennington party grantor named in the within bill of Sale, and acknowledged the same ^to be his act and deed and delivered the Same^ for the uses and purposes therein mentioned, according to the act of assembly in such Case made and provided, And I also Certify that on the same day and year aforesaid personally appeared before me William H. Jordan party grantee named in the aforegoing bill of sale and made oath on the Holy Evangely of Almighty God that the Consideration set forth in the said bill of Sale is true and bona fide as therein set forth. Acknowledged & Sworn before Charles Corkran F. Harvey Be it remembered and it is hereby Certified that the following from Bill of sale was received and recorded on the 27th day of July 1852 P. Harvey to wit Know all men by these presents that I Phillip Harvey of Dorchester County in the State of Maryland for and in Consideration of the sum of ninety dollars and ninety eight Cents Current money to me in hand paid by Francis Harvey of Dorchester County in the Said State at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof I the Said Phillip Harvey do hereby acknowledge have granted bargained and Sold and by these presents do grant bargain and sell unto the said Francis Harvey his executors administrators and assigns all the goods To wit: One Bay mare one Cow and Calf, Four Hogs, one Crop of Corn on the grounds, One Bed, and Furniture, one Plough, all and Singular which said goods and chattels are now remaining Standing and being in a certain messuage or tenements Situate in the Said County and now in the occupation of the Said Phillip Harvey To Have and To Hold all and singular the Said goods household Stuff and Delivered to F Harvey Feb 12th 1854 |
