State of Maryland Dorchester County sct

                   On this tenth day of March Eighteen hundred and fifty four personally
appeared before me a justice of the peace of the the State of Maryland in and for Dorchester
County aforesaid Brice J. Goldsborough and Rhoda Stevens the Seller and purchaser mentioned
in the above Bill of Sale and Severally acknowledged the Bill of Sale aforesaid to be their act and
deed and executed for the purposes therein mentioned                                 Charles Corkran


John Baker                        Be it remembered and it is hereby Certified that the following Bill
    √  from  xd                    of Sale was received and recorded on the 13th day of March in the year of our
A. R. Anderson & wife      Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty four to wit
                                                       Know all men by these presents that we Alexander R
Anderson and Amanda Anderson his wife both of Dorchester County in the State of Maryland
for and in Consideration of the sum of two hundred and fifty dollars Current money to me in
hand paid by John Baker of Said County and State at and before the sealing and delivery of
these presents the receipt whereof.  We the said Alexander R. Anderson and Amanda his wife
do hereby acknowledge, have granted, bargained and Sold, and by these presents do grant, bargain
and sell unto the said John Baker, his executors, administrators and assigns all and singular
our right title and interest in and to one negro Boy named and Called Henry aged about
twenty years of dark Chesnut Color and about five feet six inches in height which negro
Boy was decreed by Barzilla Street to his wife to serve until the first day of January 1860 or
until the said Negro Henry should attain the age of twenty six years and inherited by the
said Amanda Anderson from her mother wife of said Barzilla Street for the term and
period of Six years, beginning the first day f January 1834
                                                 and ending and being fully Complete the first day of January
1860 then next ensuing.  To Have and To Hold the said negro Boy Henry above bargained
and sold or mentioned and intended so to be for the said term or period or six years and
no longer, to the said John Baker, his executors, administrators and assigns for the
term of six years and no more, and we, the said boy Henry for the said term of six
years and the said John Baker, his executors administrators and assigns against us the
said Alexander R. Anderson and Amanda his wife our executors and administrators and
against all and every other person or persons whatsoever Shall and will warrant and defend
and by these presents do defend for the term of Six years of which said negro boy Henry We
the said Alexander R. Anderson and Amanda his wife have put the said John Baker
as aforesaid      In witness whereof we have hereunto interchangeably set our hands and
affixed our Seals this Twenty fifth day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand
eight hundred and fifty four
