Hippodrome and which will protect the
Meyerhoff's existing business base;
(2) The City of Baltimore and the
Maryland Historical Trust reach
agreement on how to minimize the
demolition of structures which
contribute to the Market Center
National Register Historic District and
which prevents demolition that is not
in conformance to this agreement; and
(3) The budget committees receive a report
for review and comment which outlines
the relocation assistance and
opportunities being provided to the
area merchants by the City of
Baltimore
Further provided that $2,000,000
$1.000.000 of this appropriation may not
he expended until:
(1) the City of Baltimore and the Baltimore
Development Corporation (BDC)
develop, adopt, and implement a plan
to provide relocation and just
compensation to the displaced
merchants located in the affected areas
outlined in the City of Baltimore
Ordinance 99-243 99-423 whose
business and/or property is subject to
an exclusive negotiating priority
granted by the BDC as of February 1,
2000. The City of Baltimore and the
BDC shall submit the plan and
implementation status of the plan to the
budget committees on or before July 1,
2000. The budget committees shall
have 45 days to review and comment on
the plan:
(2) the City of Baltimore and the
Maryland Historical Trust, in
consultation with the West Side
Renaissance. Inc., reach agreement
on how to minimize the demolition
of structures which contribute to
the Market Center National
