until the Baltimore Symphony
Orchestra (BSO) and the Baltimore
Center for the Performing Arts. Inc. (or
their contractor who will manage and
operate the Hippodrome Performing
Arts Center) enter into a Memorandum
of Understanding (MOU). This MOU
should outline a comprehensive plan to
foster cooperation between the BSD and
the Hippodrome Performing Arts
Center. The strategy should ensure that
the BSO's existing business base will be
recognized, to the extent practicable
and as permitted by federal and State
law. The Board of Directors of the
Baltimore Center for the Performing
Arts. Inc. shall report to the budget
committees on or before July 1, 2000.
