and Cost Commission to assess a certain fee against certain entities; specifying
certain transitional provisions relating to the implementation of the provisions
of this Act; requiring certain individuals to meet periodically for a specified
purpose; requiring a certain report to be filed by a certain date certain reports to
be filed by certain dates: requiring the Maryland Health Care Access and Cost
Commission to conduct a certain study and to make a certain report by a certain
date; requiring the Governor to make certain appointments; providing that it is
the intent of the General Assembly that the Maryland Health Care Commission
appoints a certain individual to a certain position; providing for the accurate
codification of the provisions of this Act; making certain technical and stylistic
changes; reorganizing certain provisions; defining certain terms; altering
certain definitions; providing for a delayed effective date for certain provisions
of this Act; providing for the effective date of certain provisions of this Act; and
generally relating to the integration, consolidation, and streamlining of certain
health care regulatory responsibilities and duties.
