(a) Each appointing authority and, where applicable, supervisor has the
responsibility of properly explaining the duties and responsibilities of an employee's
position to the employee, providing the employee with a written position description and
otherwise [orientating] ORIENTING the employee to the operations of the employee's
unit.

7-502.

(a) An employee subject to this subtitle shall receive the following written
performance appraisals at [6 month] 6-MONTH intervals based on the employee's
entry-on-duty date:

(1) a mid-year performance appraisal; and

(2) an end-of-year performance appraisal with an overall performance

rating.
