AN ACT concerning

Haul Seining - Landowner Permission

FOR the purpose of allowing fishing with a haul seine in certain waters contiguous to
Baltimore County without obtaining the permission of certain owners or occupiers
of land opposite to the shore or bank to be haul seined.

BY repealing

Article - Natural Resources

Section 4-715(a)

Annotated Code of Maryland

BY renumbering

Article - Natural Resources

Section 4-715(b) through (h), respectively

to be Section 4-715(a) through (g), respectively

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article - Natural Resources

4-715.

[(a) A person may not fish with a haul seine or any other net in any river, creek,
cove, or branch of the water within the limits of or adjacent or contiguous to Baltimore
County without first obtaining the permission in writing of the owner or occupier of the
bank or shore in Baltimore County of the creek, cove, or branch of water opposite to
which the seine or net is placed.]

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That Section(s) 4-715(b)
through (h), respectively, of Article - Natural Resources of the Annotated Code of
Maryland be renumbered to be Section(s) 4-715(a) through (g), respectively.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 1997.
