AN ACT concerning

St Mary's County - Alcoholic Beverages
(Administrator to the Board of License Commissioners)

FOR the purpose of changing references to the Clerk to the Board of License
Commissioners of St. Mary's County to be references to the Administrator to the
Board; providing for the transition providing that the individual who holds the
position of Clerk of the Board of License Commissioners shall continue in the
position as the Administrator of the Board: and generally relating to alcoholic
beverages in St. Mary's County.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages
Section 15-102(g)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages

15-102.

(g) (1) The Board shall appoint [a clerk] AN ADMINISTRATOR.

(2) The [clerk] ADMINISTRATOR shall carry out the duties assigned by the

Board.

(3) The County Commissioners shall set the salary of the [clerk]
ADMINISTRATOR.

(4) The County Commissioners may assign clerical assistance as is necessary
to carry out the duties of the Board.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the person who holds the
position of Clerk to the Board of License Commissioners on October 1, 1997, shall
continue and be in the position of Administrator to the Board.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 1997.
