SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 1997.

(House Bill 295)

AN ACT concerning

Somerset County - Public Officials - Salaries

FOR the purpose of raising the salary of the State's Attorney for Somerset County, the
County Treasurer of Somerset County, the Sheriff of Somerset County, and the
County Commissioners of Somerset County; providing that this Act does not apply
to the salary or compensation of the incumbent State's Attorney for Somerset
County, the incumbent County Treasurer of Somerset County, the incumbent
Sheriff of Somerset County, and the incumbent County Commissioners of Somerset
County; and generally relating to Somerset County.
