circuit court of the county. Such appeal shall be taken [according to] IN ACCORDANCE
WITH TITLE 7, CHAPTER 200 OF the Maryland Rules [as set forth in Chapter 1100,
Subtitle B]. Nothing in this subsection shall change the existing standards for review of
any zoning action.

7.01.

(b) In case any building or structure is erected, constructed, reconstructed,
altered, repaired, converted, or maintained, or any building, structure, sign, or land is
used in violation of this article or of any ordinance or other regulations made under
authority conferred hereby, the proper local authorities of the jurisdiction in addition to
other remedies, may institute any appropriate action or proceeding to prevent the
unlawful erection, construction, reconstruction, alteration, repair, conversion,
maintenance, or use, to restrain, correct, or abate the violation, to prevent the occupancy
of the [building] BUILDING, structure, or land, or to prevent any illegal act, conduct,
business, or use in or about the premises. However, despite any provisions of this section,
the proper local authorities may not institute any action or proceeding to abate a transfer
which has been completed or to prevent the occupancy of a building, [structure]
STRUCTURE, or land involved in the transfer as a result of a violation of § 5.05 or § 5.06
of this article. Further provided, that any property subdivided in violation of §§ 5.05 and
5.06 of this article shall remain subject to the adopted subdivision regulations.

8.01.

(a) (3) (ii) "Structure" means a combination of material to form a
construction that is stable; including among other things, buildings, stadiums, reviewing
stands, platforms, stagings, observation towers, radio towers, water tanks and towers,
trestles, bridges, piers, paving, bulkheads, wharves, sheds, coal bins, shelters, fences and
display signs visible or intended to be visible from a public way. The term also includes
natural land formations and appurtenances and environmental settings. The term shall be
construed as if followed by the words "or part thereof." [thereof.]
